Tell us the story of how the two of you met:
So both of us ended up in East London. Josh was born here and I moved here for work. We both really wanted community, it was more a need for me because I didn’t know anyone 😂, so we ended up going to the same church! We actually connected at one of the church’s events, we both went up for prayer and the pastor said we must put our hand on the people next to us and pray. Josh would say that I ‘vryfed’ his back, but it was more like a friendly pat and that is how we noticed each other and started connecting in the friend group after that. They also say that the church is a good place to meet your spouse.

What do you enjoy doing on weekends? :
We, (especially me…Josh ) absolutely love the beach ! So, a lekker loop op die strand and an epic cup of coffee is always a win.

It must be a lazy start, with a lekker homecooked breakfast from me and then some venturing around East London which could be a snorkel adventure or having supper with friends and family #soakinguptheweekend #itstheweekendbabby

Tell us each your favorite characteristic of the other person:

My favourite characteristics about Josh is his sense of humour, his patience and intentionality, his willingness to try anything new without thinking about it but also appreciating some familiarity. I love his spontaneity and his love for connecting with people and loving people. I love the fact that he is kinda like aquaman, chlorine water irritates his skin but the salt water does nothing to him!
